The Berkshires and the Boston area lured me in 2005

An elderhostel "Five Museums in 5 Days," based in North Adams, took us to the Clark Institute in Williamstown, the Bennington Museum, The Norman Rockwell Museum, the MassMoCa in North Adams, and the Williams College Art Museum. Some highlights.

After our elderhostel, I took the bus to Boston to visit the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Gardner Museum nearby, where I spent the whole afternoon. The next day I took the train to Salem to see the Yin Yu Tang, a 200 year old Chinese house, which has been relocated from China and put together at the Peabody Essex Museum.

The Peabody Essex has a lot of maritime art and arts from Asia.
